Jin Shin Jyutsu®

Harmonizing the Life Energy
in the Body

For your body’s well-being Meredith Harrison offers Jin Shin Jyutsu, an ancient Japanese art that balances the energy flow (or life force) in the body.

Jin Shin Jyutsu can help bring relief and wellness to many different kinds of health challenges, from small things like the common cold to aiding with “big label” illnesses or serious chronic conditions.

There are 26 Safety Energy Locks on each side of the body, that work as a sort of circuit breaker and can shut off for any number of reasons such as stress, lack of sleep, poor posture, bad diet, lack of movement, environmental pollutants and toxins.

These energy locks shut down to call the attention of the person to a problem that needs to be addressed, but most of us in modern life tend to ignore these signals. Jin Shin Jyutsu works by re-opening the safety energy locks so that the life force can flow through them.

In a typical session the client comes in and relaxes on a massage table, fully clothed, and Meredith takes a reading of the pulse on the wrists to find out which energy flows are most important to work on (an organ flow or an energy lock flow).

By the end of the session the client usually feels profoundly relaxed and is much more balanced. Most clients who come in with pain usually experience a significant degree of relief.

  1. I attended a lecture by Meredith in 2008 about Jin Shin Jyutsu where she taught us how you could balance your own chi by holding on to your thumb and other fingers with the other hand. This is one of the best gifts anybody ever gave me and my family.

  2. I enjoyed my first session of Jin Shin Jyutsu with Meredith last weekend. It was a wonderful experience. Meredith is an experienced practitioner who took the time to explain the process to me. After our session I felt relaxed and rejuvenated and the ringing in my ear, which had been troubling me for four weeks, had disappeared. I plan to make Jin Shin Jyutsu part of my regular “stay healthy” routine and look forward to seeing Meredith again in a few weeks.
